The Roll of Honor:
St. Paul's School in the Second World War

In 1950 the Alumni Association of St. Paul’s School published the book St. Paul’s School in the Second World War. The War Memorial Book Committee led by Editor John B. Edmonds, ’19, compiled biographical sketches of the one hundred and four St. Paul’s alumni who gave their lives during the Second World War. The entries were written “based on letters and information sent by friends, brothers, parents, widows of men who died in the war.”

The St. Paul’s School Archives is making these short biographies available online. Below is an alphabetical list of the St. Paul’s alumni who gave their lives during World War II. Entries for each of the alumni have been scanned from the book and can be read in their entirety by clicking on the names in the drop-down lists and linking to individual PDF files (opens in a new window). The dates listed below the photographs are the years in residence at St. Paul’s School.
