Vanished Buildings of St. Paul's School

Shute Cottage

SPS Shute Cottage

The Shute Cottage, where a nearby blacksmith, Moses Shute, had his shop. It was bought by the School in 1865 and was first used as the Lower School. It was altered in 1870 and enlarged in 1875 and then torn down in 1954. Scudder House is an exact replica of the Shute Cottage.
