Samuel Drury at eighteen

Samuel Drury entered Harvard College with the class of 1901 and became one of its most distinguished members. Always of a serious and religious nature, he became, while he was at Harvard, profoundly interested in the Church and its work. One day his mother and sisters heard the Rev. Charles H. Brent of St. Stephen’s Church speak at a missionary meeting, and were much impressed by him. Mr. Brent called on them and thus met Sam Drury, who became one of his closest friends. By the time Drury graduated from Harvard in June 1901, he had already decided to enter the ministry.
