The Rectory 1890s

In the spring of 1895, the new Rector moved from “The School”, of which he had been the head since it was built in 1880, to the Rectory. As Joseph Coit had never married, three Coit nieces – Eleanor, Jane, and Ruth – in turn presided as hostesses, and the Rectory continued to be a house of hospitality for students and visitors alike.
