First School Library

The first School Library was situated in a room on the top floor of the Big Study. It had a sunny room of its own, with engravings on the walls and busts of classic orators and poets atop the shelves. Pictured here perched atop the card catalog in a lighthearted pose is W. J. Price, Form of 1889, who returned to teach English from 1893-96, and who also helped out with the cataloging of books in the growing library collection.
