Other Library Resources
Here are some online resources that may help you expand your research:
- Internet Public Library - Founded in 1995 by graduate students at the University of Michigan and currently hosted by Drexel University. The library maintains a collection of online ready reference works, organizes selected web sites by subject, and provides links to online books, magazines and newspapers. Also consider www.lii.org for further web sites evaluated by librarians.
- Library of Congress - The Library of Congress Online Catalogs contain 14 million records. The American Memory Project contains primary source and archival materials relating to American culture and history. For legislative information, use Thomas.
- New Hampshire State Catalog - The NHU-PAC is a union catalog that contains the holdings of the State Library as well as 375 public, school and special libraries in the state. In most instances, the records in the NHU-PAC reflect only those titles acquired by a library since the mid-1980s.
- Ohrstrom Blog - A critical information component of the Ohrstrom Library website, this blog –updated weekly- highlights: library guides relevant for both general and targeted research projects, selected new acquisitions of special reference value, thematic displays and exhibitions, and featured holdings of the SPS Archives. Use our categories and tags to locate a collection of posts on a particular topic (i.e. Humanities, Databases, Primary Sources).
- University of New Hampshire - Search the collections of the University of New Hampshire via their web-based catalog.
- WorldCat - A master catalog containing more than 40 million records owned by 10,000 participating libraries from around the world. Useful features are arranged by closest library and include citation suggestions, formats available, and location information for individual items.
